These new embedded ZigBee modules are very low power and support both home automation and smart energy profiles. These are extensions to the standard ZigBee protocol that are used by smart meters, energy monitors, door locks and similar products.

Main Features

The ZE20 is designed to meet specific requirements of low cost and low power wireless applications such as Home Automation,Smart Energy, Health care, Building Automation and Telecom Services by adopting the new ZigBee profiles. The ZE20S is based on the Ember EM357 ZigBee core certified by the ZigBee alliance, based on ZigBee 2007 and ZigBee Pro stack.

Despite of its cost effectiveness and low power consumption, the ZE20 provides high performance and robust data transfer capability for a wide range of applications. The ZE20 can transfer data at up to 250 kbps and reach up to 300m (0.19 miles) outdoor line-of-sight, with optional antenna.

As well as a serial interface, the module also has 6 ADC inputs and 17 digital I/O lines.
