The Bluetooth specification uses Profiles to let different types of device to talk to each other, even if they are from assorted manufacturers. A lot of Bluetooth devices only use a limited set of profiles for the task they need to do, but this device supports most of the possible profiles so can communicate with nearly all Bluetooth devices.
