New Standalone PIC Programmer

Kanda have introduced a new standalone PIC programmer to complement their handheld PIC Programmer range. The new programmer is also easy to use, but can store up to 32 programs for different PIC microcontrollers, with EEPROM and configuration data. It has a simple keypad and LCD display to simplify selecting the correct program. Once the program is selected, just press Program Button. It comes with battery charger and USB loader plus full software included in the kit.

Sena have introduced a complete ZigBee range, called ProBee. These modules, and associated PC USB and serial port interfaces, are very low cost, but are packed with features. They are easy to integrate into your product or equipment for instant wireless networking. They are ideal for control and monitoring applications.

Programmer Support for AVRStudio 5

AVRISP-U, the USB programmer supplied with STK200 kits, can now be launched from AVRStudio 5. This makes development easier, and it is simple to add the programmer to AVRStudio 5 Tools menu using the instructions provided. The AVRStudio 4 interface has also been improved.

Xeltek SP6000 Universal Programmer

The SP6000 is the fastest programmer on the market, and supports a massive 64000+ devices. It uses USB2.0 and is 30% faster than SP5000 and other programmers available. It comes with a 48-pin ZIF socket, but socket converters can be supplied for all package types for up to 144 pin devices. Finally, it has both PC mode and standalone mode, using a compact flash card.
