LPT 256K Hand Held AVR Programmer for AVR
Parallel Port version has been replaced by USB version. Existing parallel port programmers can easily be converted to USB so can continue to be used with USB PC dongle.

Parallel port HandHeld AVR Programmer, for Field and Production use, for AVR microcontrollers with up to 256KB of code and Data memory. Just load the programmer from a PC using the
AVR Programmer Starter Kit.
Now you just plug it into your target board and program/verify Flash and/or EEPROM with a single button press. It can supply power to your target device using internal battery or 9V external Power supply - 0-5V Vcc, up to 150mA with over-current trip - or can draw power from the target circuit.
You can set it to program the whole AVR microcontroller or just the Flash memory so EEPROM data is preserved, or you can program just the EEPROM which makes it ideal for configuration or QA data.
This version has firmware for parallel port PC loader. If used with a USB interface, it will ask to do a firmware upgrade. Just agree and it will be will be changed to USB. See related products for AVR-HH-USB, the USB interface needed with this product.

You will need a Starter Kit to load this AVR programmer. One Starter Kit will allow you to load as many Hand Held AVR Programmers as you want. The Starter kit comes complete with one AVR Hand Held Programmer and is on Special Offer.
AVR Programmer Starter Kit
If you do not want to use the internal 9V PP3 battery, the power supply required is 9V with a 2.5mm Barrel connector. These are available on the shop.
